Three tools to calm your nervous system + body during pregnancy!

Your nervous systems are deeply connected during pregnancy, which creates that beautiful bond + relationship early onThat is why at Revival we emphasize neurological chiropractic care, intentionality + stress management during your pregnancy.

If you are feeling stressed out, your baby will too. 
If you are feeling loved + safe, your baby will too.

It’s not always easy to change all the stress in your life, but here are some things you can do when you’re in a pinch to calm your nervous system (and your baby)!

  1. Breathe through your nose with long exhales! This will down regulate that stress response in your body. Try this for a minute + feel the peace overwhelm your body.
  2. Move your body in a way that feels good to you. Some of our favorites are cat-cow pose, body weight squats, or a nice walk. 
  3. Vocalize!!! Sing, pray, hum – do what brings you joy! This not only calms you, but baby can hear your voice + feel those vibrations which is super calming to them too!

Try one (or combine all three at once) the next time you are feeling the stress + overwhelm take over. You can easily influence your nervous system to switch to a relaxed state with these three tools!
